The Minister said an assessment will be made to determine if houses or compensation will be awarded to those affected.

The funds are being provided for the displaced to rent out houses until estimations are completed.

The Minister said 98 houses are prepared to be handed over while 60 houses will be handed over today.

He added for those who have been asked to evacuate due to risks, they will be provided Rs.50,000 monthly for three months, and Rs.10,000 to move home appliances.
