Arumugam Thondaman resigns


Parliamentarian Arumugam Thondaman today handed over his Letter of Resignation to President Maithripala Sirisena as the Chairman of the Nuwara Eliya District Coordinating Committee.

NewsRadio Correspondent said it was confirmed by Vice Chairman of the Ceylon Workers’ Congress and Central Provincial Councillor Ganapathi Kanagaraj.

The Parliamentarian had cited issued such as state officials not taking steps to provide a land to dispose waste in Hatton and their general failure to address waste disposal issues as reasons for his decision to resign.
