United Peoples Freedom Alliance Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa says those who support the 20th Amendment to the Constitution must not return to take their seats in the Opposition.

Speaking at a media briefing this morning MP Weerawansa said voting for the 20th Amendment cannot be pardoned.

MP Weerawansa said the opposition would like to tell those who are yet to leave the SLFP and join the opposition one thing, they cannot join if they raise their hand in favour of the 20th Amendment.

He said an individual cannot be cleansed of the sin of approving the 20th Amendment in any manner adding that if they wish to join they must do so after voicing dissent against the 20th Amendment, then they will be embraced with open arms.

He said however if they vote in favour of the 20th Amendment they cannot be saved in any manner.
