Sub-Committee report on fuel crisis to the President

The report by the Cabinet Sub Committee appointed to look into the fuel crisis will be submitted to President Maithripala Sirisena today.

Member of the committee Minister Dr. Sarath Amunugama said steps will be taken to educate the public of the content of the report.

The committee comprises Ministers Patali Champika Ranawaka, Anura Priyadharshana Yapa and Arjuna Ranatunga.

The Minister said the committee deliberated the cause for the delay and issues surrounding storage of fuel.

Minister Amunugama added the government is expecting more oil tankers in the coming days claiming the country has sufficient reserves.
