Zim to replicate success against SL last year

Zimbabwe Head Coach Heath Streak says his team will attempt to replicate the success it enjoyed against Sri Lanka last year.

Zimbabwe beat Sri Lanka in a bilateral series 3-2 last year.

Zimbabweans will take on hosts Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in a triangular tournament starting on Monday.

Speaking ahead of the tour, Streak said he is hopeful his side will rediscover their form during the tri-nation series in Bangladesh.

He added, “In terms of our expectations obviously having not played a bit hopefully we can get into the swing of playing international cricket pretty quickly. We know we are highly competitive in the ODI format and I hope we can get back to how we played against Sri Lanka pretty quickly.”

Meanwhile Sri Lanka team led by Angelo Mathews will leave for Bangladesh on Saturday.
