Zimbabwe schedule deferred by one day


The Zimbabwe team, who were scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh today, deferred their schedule by one day and are now expected to land tomorrow.

Zimbabwe is scheduled to take part in a tri-nation ODI series involving the hosts Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

The Zimbabwe Cricket said the squad failed to travel to Bangladesh as per their original schedule and the authorities were still running around to secure tickets for the trip.

Ahead of the series, Graeme Cremer’s side will participate in a tour game against BCB XI on Saturday.

Zimbabwe made seven changes to the team who recently won their first ODI series against Sri Lanka 3-2.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka, with Angelo Matthews at the helm, is scheduled to arrive on Saturday.

The first match of the series, between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh, will take place on Monday at the Sher-e-Bangla National stadium in Mirpur.
