Sri Lanka’s stand-in captain Dinesh Chandimal says Sri Lanka is one win away from stability.
After being defeated by Bangladesh by 163 runs, Skipper Chandimal said the team is struggling to a field a consistent XI in ODIs.
Sri Lanka continued its disastrous run of form in ODIs as Bangladesh defeated the Chandimal-led team by 163 runs in Dhaka this evening. Sri Lanka also lost to Zimbabwe by 12 runs on Wednesday in a Tri-nation series encounter.
Speaking to media after the game, Chandimal said: “Actually, we are really disappointed with our performance. In ODI cricket, we’re going through a bad patch. Bangladesh played outstanding cricket, credit to them. It is tough to come out of this. If we win one, we can get things in place.”
Sri Lanka will now meet Zimbabwe in a must win encounter on Sunday at the same venue.
