UNP Parliamentary group to meet today


A special meeting of United National Party Parliamentary group will convene today.

The meeting will be held at the Temple Trees with party leader Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe set to Chair the meeting.

Speaking to NewsRadio Parliamentarian Harshana Rajakaruna said the meeting will focus on the results of the 2018 Local Authority Election and the party’s’ future plans.

Meanwhile the leaders of the United National Front also held a meeting yesterday Chaired by the Prime Minister.

Furthermore a special discussion between President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe took place last night at the President’s official residence.

The two are said to have discussed various opinions that are being circulated over the results of the 2018 Local Authority Election.
