Mushfiqur Rahim believes Bangladesh has gained sufficient momentum after their historic five-wicket win over Sri Lanka, who now has an eye on going all the way in the Nidahas Cup.
Mushfiqur scored an unbeaten half-century to script Bangladesh’s record chase in Twenty20 Internationals as they chased down 215.
Mushfiqur acknowledged how badly Bangladesh needed to win and conceded it was high time they moved forward carrying that momentum and believed it was crucial in the shortest format.
He said “I hope we can carry on with it in our next two matches as we have got confidence back,” before adding there was no option of getting carried away with that one win.
He also lauded the batting unit, but said that if Bangladesh is to beat India, it was their bowling that needed to fire from all cylinders.
