Ramith Rambukwella’s driving license suspended


Court today ordered for the driving license of cricketer Ramith Rambukwella, the son of MP Keheliya Rambukwella, to be temporarily suspended.

The order was issued when a case filed against Ramith Rambukwella by Sri Lanka Police was taken up for hearing at the Colombo Additional Magistrate’s Court today.

Charges were filed against Ramith Rambukwella for driving under the influence, causing an accident and hiding the accident from the Police.

Colombo Additional Magistrate Chandana Kalansooriya ordered to take Ramith Rambukwella to the Medical Council of the Ministry of Transportation and obtain a report on his physical and mental condition.

The case is due to be taken up once again on the 19th of June.
