Bangladesh bundle out Sri Lanka for 338

Despite a poor start, Dinesh Chandimal and the tail lifted Sri Lanka to 338 in the 1st session of Day 2 of the 2nd Test against Bangladesh at the P Sara Oval Colombo.

At lunch, the hosts were all out for 338 in 113 overs.

However, it was a much better performance from Bangladesh as the wicket was in favour for batsmen.

Apart from Dinesh Chandimal’s 138, Niroshan Dickwella and Dhananjaya De Silva made 34 each.

Tail-enders Rangana Herath and Suranga Lakmal made useful contributions of 25 and 35 respectively.

Mehedi Hasan emerged as the pick of the bowlers for Bangladesh bagging 3 for 90 in 21 overs.

The visitors held the edge but the hosts remain well in control after the 1st session this morning.
