678 returnees back home after completing quarantine

Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva said 678 people who returned to the Island from countries battling with an outbreak of the virus and were directed to quarantine facilities upon their return, have now returned to their homes after completing their mandatory quarantine period.

Speaking at the media briefing the Army Commander said another 443 persons who successfully cleared the quarantine period will also be released from facilities today.

The Army Commander noted there were 2,866 persons in quarantine in 43 centers at present.
