COVID-19 recoveries in Sri Lanka exceed 107,000

The number of COVID-19 recoveries recorded in the country has increased to 107,657.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 1,016 COVID-19 patients recovered and were discharged during the past 24 hours.
Accordingly, 95 persons were discharged from the Neville Fernando Hospital, 94 from the Bingiriya treatment centre and 67 from the Hingurakgoda Base Hospital.
Meanwhile 2,568 individuals tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday increasing Sri Lanka’s coronavirus caseload to 131,098.
22,591 persons are currently receiving treatment for the coronavirus at several facilities across the country.
1,519 suspected cases are also under medical observation at present.
