Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 recoveries rise to 3,021

Five more persons who contracted the novel coronavirus in the country have recovered and have been discharged from hospitals during the past 24 hours.

Accordingly, the number of COVID-19 recoveries in Sri Lanka has risen to 3,021.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Heath said four COVID-19 patients were discharged from the Welikanda Base hospital while one foreign national was released from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases.

Accordingly, 237 persons including 14 foreign nationals are currently receiving treatment at four hospitals.

43 others who are suspected to have contracted the novel coronavirus are under medical observation.

The number of coronavirus cases reported in the country is currently at 3,271 following the detection of nine COVID-19 patients yesterday.
