Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 tally rises to 3,349

Four persons, three arrivals from Qatar and a returnee from the United Arab Emirates tested positive for COVID-19 in Sri Lanka today.
Accordingly, the number coronavirus cases confirmed in Sri Lanka has risen to 3,349.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said accordingly, 150 persons including 17 foreign nationals are currently receiving treatment for coronavirus at five hospitals across the country.
Meanwhile, 28 more persons including a foreign national who contracted the novel coronavirus have recovered and have been discharged from hospitals. Accordingly, the number of COVID-19 recoveries in Sri Lanka has also risen to 3,186.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 17 patients had been discharged from the Welikanda Base Hospital, six including a foreign national from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases while five individuals had been released from the Iranawila Hospital during the past 24 hours.
25 suspected COVID-19 cases are also under medical observation at present.
