SL v BAN: Toss delayed due to rain

The scheduled ground inspection ahead of the Sri Lanka Bangladesh match has been postponed as rain continues in Bristol.
Weather played spoil sport at the World Cup for the second day in a row as Bangladesh’s game against Sri Lanka is delayed. Rain ensured the covers remained on the pitch and square and prevented the toss taking place as scheduled at 2:30pm.
Play was set to start at 3pm.
Only 7.3 overs were possible in the match between West Indies and South Africa at Southampton yesterday also hampered due to rain.
Sri Lanka’s last match against Pakistan at Bristol on 7 June was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
