England to arrive in Sri Lanka for 2 Tests

The England National Cricket Team will arrive in the country to take on Sri Lanka in a two-match Test series on the 3rd of March.

The Joe Root-led team will also play two practice games against the Sri Lanka Cricket Board President’s XI ahead of the ICC World Test Championship matches.

Practice games will be worked off at the Katunayake CMC grounds and at the P Sara Oval in Colombo.

The series opener between Sri Lanka and England will be held at the Galle International Cricket Stadium from the 19th of March while the second and final match of the series will be played at the SSC grounds in Colombo from the 27th of March.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka Test team led by Dimuth Karunaratne will kick-start the tour of Zimbabwe with a game in Harare on Sunday.

The 16-member squad left for Zimbabwe yesterday.
