2,095 election complaints lodged with PAFFREL

Election monitoring body the People’s Action for Free and Fair Elections says it has received 2,095 complaints thus far related to the upcoming General Election.
PAFFREL said a majority of the complaints were lodged over illegal campaigning, amounting to 1,230.
Meanwhile the Election Commission has received 6,015 complaints in relation to the upcoming election.
The Election Commission noted that all complaints are pertaining to flouting of election laws.
Accordingly, the Election Commission stated that 1,084 complaints have been lodged with the National Election Complaints Management Centre, while a total of 4,931 complaints have been lodged with District Election Complaints Management Centre thus far.
