45,636 persons released from quarantine centres

606 individuals who were undergoing mandatory quarantine procedures at 10 dedicated centres will be permitted to leave for their residences, today.

Accordingly, 45,636 persons have thus far completed the mandatory quarantine measure at centres maintained by the Tri-forces.

The Sri Lanka Army said at present another 7,484 persons are undergoing quarantine measures at 77 centres.

Meanwhile, another 189 individuals returned to the island this morning from three countries.

Accordingly, 101 persons from Oman, 50 from the United Arab Emirates and 38 from Japan have arrived in the country this morning.
