Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa says the country has been brought to a standstill owing to the government’s poor management of the coronavirus.

Speaking to media yesterday, MP Premadasa said many have been inconvenienced due to the lack of a stringent vaccination programme, claiming 600,000 persons are yet to receive the second dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.

The MP charged that a majority of the population haven’t been vaccinated yet.

He also accused the government of increasing cost of living while claiming the prices of vegetables and fruits have skyrocketed.

MP Premadasa said government representatives merely come before media and spew lies adding the plight of farmers has been ignored.
