‘Govt won’t bow to any international power’

Former State Minister Janaka Wakkumbura says the present government will not bow to any international power.
Speaking to media in Embilipitiya, the Former State Minister said the government will not ink any agreements with international powers, that are detrimental to Sri Lanka.
He said 6.9 million people voted for the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna at the last Presidential Election and claimed that the public will also vote in a SLPP-government at the August Polls.
Former State Minister Janaka Wakkumbura while pledging to resolve all issues of the people noted that the present government is hoping to revoke all arrangements made to sell assets of the state.
Commenting on the Millennium Challenge Corporation agreement, Former MP Wakkumbura said those part of the previous administration cannot hurl allegations at the incumbent government as it was the United National Party-led administration that initiated the project.
He said an appropriate decision on the matter will be taken.
