India’s Narcotics Control Bureau has raided an international drugs cartel worth ₹13 billion with links to Sri Lanka, Australia, Canada, the US, Indonesia, Columbia, Malaysia and Nigeria.
The anti-narcotics agency said it seized one of the largest quantities of cocaine in the country, at 20kgs, from a drugs syndicate spread across Delhi, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Maharashtra.
Sharing preliminary inputs, officials said five Indians, an American, an Indonesian and two Nigerians have been arrested in this operation.
Officials said the suspects have used India as both destination and transit for cocaine consignments.
