Lanka IOC revises fuel prices

Lanka IOC has decided to reduce the price of fuel subsequent to the decrease in fuel prices according to the monthly fuel pricing formula.
Accordingly the price of a litre of 92 Octane Petrol was reduced by Rs.3 while a litre of Octane 95 Petrol and Super Diesel were reduced by Rs.5.
Hence a litre of 92 Octane will be sold at Rs.144, 95 Octane at Rs.162 and a litre of Super Diesel at Rs.131.
The revised fuel price formula according to the monthly fuel price revision is currently in effect.
The Ministry of Finance yesterday reduced a litre of 92 Octane petrol by Rs.2, while a litre of 95 Octane and Super Diesel were reduced by Rs.5.
The Ministry said a litre of Auto Diesel however will remain unchanged. Accordingly a litre of 92 Octane will be sold at Rs.136, 95 Octane at Rs.159 and a litre of Super Diesel at Rs.131.
The Ministry of Finance said the revision in fuel prices comes in the wake of the monthly fuel pricing formula.
The pricing committee convened last morning to deliberate the prices.
The fuel pricing formula which was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers comes into effect on the 10th of every month.
