Muslim MPs who resigned from posts meet Chief Prelates

The group of Muslim Parliamentarians who recently resigned from their respective Ministerial portfolios called on the Chief Prelates today.

Speaking to NewsRadio Parliamentarian Rauff Hakeem said the group detailed the reasons behind their decision to step down from posts claiming the Chief Prelates also explained and advised the group of the impact of their decision on reconciliation.

MP Hakeem said the group of Muslim MPs decided to reach future decisions after holding discussions, sensitive towards all stakeholders.

MP Hakeem noted the Chief Prelates advised them of the negativity that could stir as a result of the decision, despite the justifiable reasoning behind the decision.

All Muslim Ministers, State and Deputy Ministers decided to resign from all their posts on the 3rd of June.
