SL Board XI-Windies game today

The Sri Lanka Cricket Board XI team will take on the visiting West Indies squad in an unofficial one-day warm-up game today.

The game is slated to get underway at the P Sara Oval grounds in Colombo at 10am.

Former Captain Upul Tharanga has been named the skipper of team while the 16-member squad also comprises of number of national coloursmen including Sadun Weerakkody, Sadeera Samarawickrema, Asela Gunaratne, Angelo Perera and Asitha Fernando.

The Windies squad arrived in the country last week to play three One Day Internationals and two Twenty20s.

They will take on the Sri Lanka Cricket Board’s President XI in an official warm-up game on Thursday in Katunayake.

The opening ODI of the series is slated to get underway on Saturday at the SSC grounds in Colombo.
