Sri Lanka crowned 2018 ICC Deaf T20 World Cup

Sri Lanka was crowned World Champions after beating India by 36 runs during the finals of the 2018 ICC Deaf Twenty20 World Cup held in India.
After being put in to bat by India, Sri Lanka went on to make 145/9 in their allotted 20 overs at the Teri Gram Cricket Ground in Gurgaon this afternoon.
Skipper Gimadu Malkam made a run-a-ball 41 while Sumudu Lanka contributed with a 15-ball 22 to the total.
In reply India struggled to keep pace with the target, as Lankan bowlers continued to pick wickets at regular intervals.
Sri Lanka bundled the Indians out for 109 in 17.5 overs.
Skipper Gimadu Malkam rounded off a man-of-the-match performance after picking up 3/25 while Alanrose Kalep, Asanka Manjula and Sumudu Lanka chipped in with two wickets apiece.
Sri Lanka also managed to beat India by 6 wickets during the Super-Three stage of the tournament.
The 2018 ICC Deaf Twenty20 World Cup was worked-off from the 24th of this month in India.
