3 COVID-19 cases detected yesterday, total at 3,363

The number of coronavirus cases confirmed in the country has risen to 3,363 after three persons tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday.

The Government Information Department said two arrivals from Lebanon and a sea merchant, a foreign national contracted the coronavirus.

Accordingly, 140 individuals including 24 foreign nationals are currently being treated for COVID-19.

1,378 cases among the country’s infections are Lankan returnees from overseas.

Another 38 persons suspected to have contracted the virus are also under medical observation.

COVID-19 recoveries are currently at 3,210.
