Windies beat SL in the 3rd T20 & seal the series 2-1

West Indies defeated Sri Lanka by 3 wickets in the third and final Twenty20 International in Antigua a short while ago to seal the series 2-1.

Chasing 132 to win, the home team reached the target in 19 overs losing 7 wickets.

Lendl Simmons top scored with 26 in 18 balls while Nicholas Pooran notched up 23 in 18 deliveries.

For Sri Lanka Lakshan Sandakan picked up 3/29 while Wanindu Hasaranga had figures of 2/13.

Dushmantha Chameera finished with 2/23.

Earlier after opting to bat first, Sri Lanka only managed to score 131/4 in their allotted 20 overs.

Dinesh Chandimal top scored with 54 off 46 deliveries while Ashen Bandara notched up 44 off 35 deliveries.

However, the remaining batters could not make useful contributions resulting in Sri Lanka posting a below par total. Four West Indian bowlers picked up a wicket apiece.

The ODI series between the two countries will be worked-off from the 10th of March.
