2017-04-21

Minister of Health Rajitha Senarathne says court cases will be filed against state institutions found to be breeding grounds for dengue mosquitoes.

Addressing a media briefing held at the Ministry of Health, Minister Senarathne said all state institutions will be subjected to a mandatory inspection in the near future.

The Health Minister added that accordingly construction sites will also be subjected to inspections.

The Minister noted that if dengue breeding hotspots are identified at construction sites, its licence will be temporarily revoked.
