11 JMI activists handed over to the TID

Eleven activists of the Jama’athe Millathe Ibrahim organisation, arrested by the Ampara Police on information provided by the State Intelligence Service, have been handed over to the Terrorist Investigations Division for further investigations.

The group was arrested over investigations into the Easter Sunday attacks.

Police said the group was held under detention orders for ninety days following which they were handed over to the TID yesterday.
