140 individuals recover from COVID-19 today

140 individuals who contracted COVID-19 have been discharged during the past 24 hours after recovering.
The number of recoveries accordingly increases to 4,282.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 78 persons were discharged from the Neville Fernando Teaching Hospital, 19 from the Kattankudy Hospital, 18 from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, eight from the Teldeniya Base Hospital and four from the Kosgama District Hospital.
Three individuals each were also discharged from the Dankotuwa District hospital, Galgamuwa Base Hospital, Rambukkana District hospital and the Iranawila Hospital and one individual from the Minuwangoda Base Hospital.
Accordingly, 5,490 individuals are currently being treated for the virus at 39 hospitals with 444 individuals suspected to have contracted the virus under medical observation.
The number of infections rose to 9,791 yesterday with the detection of 586 individuals.
