Sri Lanka confirms 14th COVID-19 related death

Sri Lanka recorded the 14th COVID-19 related death today.
Spokesman of the Ministry of Health Dr. Jayaruwan Bandara when contacted by NewsRadio said the individual was identified as a 50-year-old female.
Dr. Bandara said she succumbed to the virus while receiving treatment at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases this evening.
She was transferred to the IDH after initially being admitted to the Kuliyapitiya Hospital on the 17th of October.
The Government Information Department said the individual, a resident of Kuliyapitiya, was identified to suffer from several illnesses including diabetes.
The last COVID-19 related death was reported on the 14th of September.
