20 more Customs officers quarantined

Another 20 officers of the Sri Lanka Customs engaged in duties at the Colombo Port have been directed to quarantine.

Media Spokesman and Additional Customs Director Sunil Jayaratne speaking to NewsRadio said 25 officers were directed to quarantine yesterday.

Jayaratne said those directed to quarantine have not tested positive for the coronavirus.

Two Customs officers engaged in duty at the new container gate or the main gate to the Colombo Port were confirmed to have tested positive for the coronavirus yesterday.

The officers were directed to quarantine following this development.
