287 positive for COVID-19; cases rise to 20,795

287 COVID-19 cases have been detected in Sri Lanka thus far today.
The total number of infections accordingly increases to 20,795.
All 287 were linked to the Minuwangoda-Peliyagoda COVID-19 cluster.
465 individuals who recovered from COVID-19 were earlier discharged raising coronavirus recoveries to 14,962.
78 persons were discharged from the Bingiriya treatment centre, 76 from the Panideniya treatment centre, 48 from the 48 Police Training School, 45 from the Neville Fernando Hospital, 38 from the Samanalawewa treatment centre, 21 from the Rambukkana treatment centre and 20 from the Welikanda Base Hospital.
5,743 individuals are currently being treated for COVID-19 at 56 hospitals and treatment centres.
601 persons suspected to have contracted the coronavirus are currently under observation.
