45 schools in the Kandy city limits will remain closed until the 14th of December.
The Governor of the Central Province Lalith U Gamage when contacted by NewsRadio said schools were due to reopen on Monday the 7th of December.
The Governor attributed the decision to the detection of several COVID-19 positive cases in Bogambara.
