The Sri Lanka Administrative Service Association has decided to temporarily call off a two-day trade union action launched in the form of a sick note campaign.

Speaking to NewsRadio, Secretary of the Association Rohana de Silva said members of the union will resume services as per usual today.

The strike by the Sri Lanka Administrative Services Association focused on several demands, hampered day to day activities at state institutions.

de Silva said a round of talks were held yesterday with the Secretary to the President and the Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration.

He added following the talks the executive council held a session where they reached the present decision.

de Silva noted the Secretaries informed that the Cabinet Sub-committee convened and discussed their concerns, and a positive response is expected next week.
