Another 201 new COVID-19 cases detected

Another 201 new COVID-19 cases have been identified in the country.
The Department of Government Information said new cases comprise of 37 from quarantine centres, 24 infections from fisheries harbours across the country and 140 close contacts of COVID-19 patients.
Accordingly, the Minuwangoda-Peliyagoda cluster has risen to 3,883.
Following the detection of new cases, Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 tally has also increased to 7,354.
Accordingly, 3,625 patients including 10 foreign nationals are currently receiving treatment for coronavirus at 27 medical facilities across the country.
Meanwhile, another, 70 individuals who contracted the novel coronavirus were discharged from hospitals earlier today increasing the number of COVID-19 recoveries in Sri Lanka to 3,714.
481 suspected COVID-19 cases are also under medical observation at present.
