The Information Technology Society of Sri Lanka says it has lodged complaints with the Sri Lanka Police and the State Ministry of Women and Child Development pertaining to YouTube channels broadcasting pornographic content targeting children.

Issuing a statement, the ITSSL said since a majority of students are not engaged in education activities at present and are focused on extracurricular activities, various groups are targeting children with pornographic content via online platforms.

Chairman Rajeev Yasiru therefore directed a letter to the President requesting the immediate intervention to address the issue.
