Confirmed COVID-19 cases rise to 3,380

Six persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Sri Lanka today.

Accordingly, the number of coronavirus cases confirmed in the country has risen to 3,380.

The Department of Government Information said today’s cases include, three arrivals from Oman, an Indian sea merchant who landed from Oman, another sea merchant who arrived in the island from the United Arab Emirates and an arrival from the United States.

Accordingly, 137 COVID-19 patients including 23 foreign nationals are currently receiving medical treatment for COVID-19 at five hospitals across the country.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health said no person who contracted the novel coronavirus recovered in Sri Lanka, during the past 24 hours.

Accordingly, the number of COVID-19 recoveries in the country remains at 3,230 while 38 suspected COVID-19 cases are also under medical observation at present.
