The Committee on Public Enterprise will hold a special meeting in Parliament tomorrow to discuss prospective action to be taken regarding the controversial bond issuance based on the final report of the forensic audit of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

Committee Chairman Sunil Handunnetti said all members of the Committee have been informed to attend the meeting.

The Presidential Commission appointed to investigate the bond issuance made recommendations to the Central Bank to conduct the forensic audit.

COPE was briefed of the recommendations by the Central Bank, followed by the COPE Committee requesting the Central Bank to submit a full report on the conduct of the forensic audit.

The COPE report of the seventh Parliament on the controversial bond issuance could not be submitted due to the prorogation of Parliament.

Therefore the Committee decided to re-examine it at the eighth Parliament.
