COVID cases detected in all 25 districts yesterday

Over 100 COVID-19 cases have been detected from the Colombo, Kandy and Gampaha districts yesterday.
The Department of Government Information said new infections were recorded from all 25 districts yesterday.
The highest number of patients, 197, were identified from the Colombo District yesterday, with 28 cases being detected from Colombo Fort, 14 from Hulftsdorp, 12 from Borella and 10 from Pettah.
110 COVID-19 cases were recorded from the Kandy District with 45 cases detected from Kandy and 34 from Haripattuwa.
106 cases were detected from the Gampaha District; 16 from Wattala and 10 each from Gampaha and Minuwangoda.
40 COVID-19 patients were identified from Kurunegala, 38 from Galle, 31 from Ratnapura, 28 from Kalutara, 27 from Matale, 24 from Kegalle, 22 from Matara and 21 from Polonnaruwa.
15 cases were also detected from Mannar, 13 from Ampara, 12 from Hambantota, nine from Vavuniya, seven each from Nuwara Eliya and Polonnaruwa, four each from Jaffna and Badulla, three from Trincomalee, two from Monaragala and one each from Anuradhapura, Kilinochchi, Batticaloa and Mullaitivu.
22,373 COVID-19 cases have been recorded from the Colombo District since the 4th of October while 11,986 cases have been detected from Gampaha and 4,370 from Kalutara.
