Curfew in Mulleriyawa and Gothatuwa from 7pm

Quarantine curfew will be imposed to the Mulleriyawa and Gothatuwa police areas from 7pm today and will remain in place until further notice.
The National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak said curfew has been imposed as a precautionary measure.
Yesterday, quarantine curfew was imposed to the Dematagoda and Maradana police areas in the Colombo district as well.
Curfew is currently in effect within nine police areas in the Colombo district including in the Kotahena, Mattakkuliya, Mutwal, Bloemendhal, Wellampitiya and Grandpass police areas.
Curfew has also been in place across the entire Gampaha district as well as in the Beruwala, Payagala and Aluthgama police areas in the Kalutara district until 5am on Monday the 26th of October.
Accordingly, quarantine curfew is currently in place within 51 police areas across the country.
Acting Police Media Spokesman Deputy Inspector General of Police Ajith Rohana said vehicles will not be allowed to make stops in curfew-imposed areas.
However, the DIG said essential services will be able to operate unhindered.
