Death toll at 137 with seven more deceased

The number of coronavirus related deaths in Sri Lanka rose to 137 with the confirmation of seven deaths.
The Government Information Department said one individual was identified as a 91-year-old male, a resident of Bandaragama who passed away at his residence on the 3rd of December with the cause of death determined as a heart attack and COVID-19 infections.
The second victim was identified as a 53-year old male, an inmate, who died on the 1st of December with COVID-19 pneumonia.
A 56-year-old female from Dematagoda was also among the deceased.
The Department said she passed away on Friday with COVID-19 pneumonia while being treated at the ICU of the IDH.
Furthermore, an 81-year-old female from Bandaragama passed away on the 28th of November at her residence, with the cause of death determined as a heart attack and lung infection exacerbated by the virus.
An 84-year-old from Colombo 13 meanwhile passed away on Thursday at her residence with the reason behind the death identified as COVID-19 linked pneumonia.
The Information Department added that a 66-year-old male from Welikada died on the 2nd of December owing to pneumonia caused by COVID-19.
A 62-year-old female was also identified as the seventh victim, who passed away while being treated at the IDH yesterday.
She was suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure and COVID-19 pneumonia.
