Fishermen warned of rough seas

The severe Cyclonic Storm “Titli” in the Bay of Bengal has crossed the Indian coast near Northern Andhra Pradesh and is likely to move north-westwards over the next 12 hours.
The cyclone is located 1,200km away from Trincomalee while the Department said seas within a 100-200km radius of the location will be rough, due to the cyclone.
The Department of Meteorology instructed fishermen and the Naval community in the area to avoid setting out to sea.
Meanwhile Cyclone Luban in the Arabian Sea is located around 2,600km away from Colombo.
The Department also instructed the public to avoid engaging in fishing in the region due to heavy showers and rough seas within 100-200km of the location of the Cyclone.
