Gamini Senarath allowed to travel overseas

The Permanent High Court at Bar today granted approval for former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s former Chief of Staff Gamini Senarath to travel overseas.

The three member bench therefore granted approval for him to travel to Singapore and Thailand from the 15th to the 30th of December for medical purposes.

The case is due to be heard once again on the 10th of December.

A case was filed against Gamini Senarath, Piyadasa Kudabalage, Neil Bandara Hapuhinna and Lasantha Bandara on charges of misappropriating state funds amounting to 500 million rupees.
