223 COVID cases detected from Colombo yesterday

223 new COVID-19 cases have been detected from the Colombo district yesterday.

The National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak also confirmed that 78 coronavirus cases were detected from the Gampaha district while 15 infections were identified from the Kandy district.

Furthermore, 14 cases each from the Kurunegala and Ratnapura districts, 13 from Matara, eight from Galle, seven from Ampara, three from Matale, two from Nuwara-Eliya and one COVID-19 case from the Trincomalee district were confirmed yesterday.

109 other cases have not been classified based on districts.

Meanwhile, among the 223 COVID-19 cases detected yesterday from the Colombo district, 56 infections were confirmed from Hulftsdorp.

45 cases have also been identified from Kotahena while 28 infections have been detected from Slave Island.

Furthermore, 17 COVID-19 cases have been identified from Grandpass, 13 from Mattakkuliya, nine from Kirulapone, eight from Dematagoda, seven from Maradana and five infections each have been confirmed from Colpetty and Wellampitiya.

According to the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak four coronavirus cases have been identified from Avissawella, two cases each from Pettah and Battaramulla while one COVID-19 infection each has been confirmed from Wellawatte and Dehiwela yesterday.

19 coronavirus cases have also been detected from the Colombo Port jurisdiction yesterday.
