Hizbullah, Illangakoon to appear before PSC

Former Governor of the Eastern Province, MLAM Hizbullah, former Inspector General of Police NK Illangakoon and the present Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration have been summoned to appear and provide witness statements before the Special Parliamentary Select Committee probing the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.
The Select Committee is scheduled to reconvene at 2 tomorrow afternoon.
Former Governor of the Western Province Azath Salley, Chairman of the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama Organisation and a Maulavi of a Mosque in Kattankudy appeared before the committee yesterday.
Meanwhile members of the parliamentary select committee have decided to meet and discuss the Presidents recent comments pertaining to the committee.
Speaking to NewsRadio a member of the select committee said the discussions will focus on the Presidents criticism of the committee and the Head of States stance on the matter.
