Deceased Galle Fisheries harbour fisherman PCR tested

The remains of an individual employed in the fisheries industry, who was working at the Galle Fisheries harbour, who passed away upon admission to the Karapitiya, Galle Teaching Hospital has been directed for PCR tests.
The individual was a 61 year old resident of Akmeemana Bataduwa.
A senior Police official when inquired by NewsRadio said the individual was admitted to the hospital following symptoms of a heart attack experienced at the harbour.
Accordingly the spokesman said the fisherman had passed away upon being admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
A post mortem examination for the deceased will be carried out at the Karapitiya, Galle Teaching Hospital today, while samples of his remains have been sent for PCR tests.
