Isolation in 6 Police areas to be lifted tomorrow

Isolation imposed in the Borella, Fort, Slave Island and Wellampitiya Police areas of the Colombo District will be lifted at 5am tomorrow.

Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva said the Wakanda Grama Seva division of the Slave Island Police area and the Wanathamulla Grama Seva division of the Borella Police area will continue to remain under isolation.

13 Police areas within the Colombo District, Mattakkuliya, Mutwal, Bloemendhal, Kotahena, Foreshore, Wolfendhal, Maligawatte, Dematagoda, Grandpass, Keselwatte, Maradana, Pettah and Dam Street, continue to remain under isolation curfew.

Meanwhile isolation imposed in the Ja-Ela and Kadawatha Police areas of the Gampaha District will also be lifted at 5am tomorrow.

The Army Commander said the Kelaniya, Ragama, Wattala and Peliyagoda Police areas of the Gampaha District will meanwhile continue to remain under isolation.

The Lieutenant General said seven Grama Seva divisions of Atalugama were isolated yesterday following the discovery of several COVID-19 positive cases.

Accordingly the Bogahawatte, Bamunumulla, Kirimanthudawa, Korawala, Atalugama West and Galagahamandiya grama seva divisions of the Bandaragama Police area will be isolated.
