Japanese Foreign Minister to visit SL tomorrow

Japan’s Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi is due to visit Sri Lanka in the hope of further strengthening his country’s friendship with Sri Lanka extending congratulations to the new government.
The Japanese Foreign Ministry said the Minister is to visit Sri Lanka and Spain from December 14-17.
He is expected to arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow morning for a two-day visit.
During his stay in Sri Lanka, the Japanese Foreign Minister is scheduled to meet President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and External Affairs Minister Dinesh Gunawardena.
Following the visit to Sri Lanka, Foreign Minister Motegi is scheduled to leave for Madrid, Spain on Saturday where he will attend the 14th ASEM Foreign Minister’s meeting.
